NK cell activity stimulates by intake of nano-sized lactic acid bacterium nEF
Intake of lactic acid bacteria stimulates natural killer (NK) cell activity of spleen. Moreover intake of nano-sized lactic acid bacterium nEF confirmed the dose-dependent effects on NK cell activity.
Prevention against infection of norovirus for mouse by intake of nano-sized lactic acid bacterium nEF
In order to verify how the difference in “dispersibility” at the process of producing sterilizes lactic acid bacteria affects the effectiveness, biological defense function was investigated by norovirus infection test by the mouse using “non-nano lactic acid bacteria” which was sterilized and dried after cultivation and “nano lactic acid bacteria” which was treated by dispersion process at production.
Mice which infected to norovirus are divided into 3 groups (control (distilled water) group, non-nano sized lactic acid bacteria group, nano-sized lactic acid bacteria group) and forcedly orally administered daily for 21 days after infection.
Fecal viral amount and neutralizing antibody value in serum blood 3 weeks after infection were measured by plaque assay.
<Number of virus in the stool>
When the amount of excreted virus is decreased, the risk of infection is decreased accordingly. Nano-sized lactic acid bacteria administered group significantly suppress fecal virus growth at the early stage such as 2 days or 3 days after infection more than non-nano lactic acid bacteria administered group.
<Neutralizing antibody value in serum blood after infection>
Nano-sized lactic acid bacteria group also showed higher neutralizing antibody values that quantified the function of eliminating the virus.
Nano-sized lactic acid bacteria superior in absorbability can be expected to improve the more rapid prevention effect by exerting the effect of the lactic acid bacteria sufficiently.
